Default Leg posistion reletive to Clucth's biting point

    Hi,

Since owning a Vectra I’m trying to find a suitable seating position to enable a more reliable & comfortable seating position relative to the clutch.

I’ve moved my seat to a position which enables to be closer to the biting point when I disengage the clutch. E.g: The clutch engages at about 50% ; my foot to clutch travel is at about 40%.

Whilst this is my preference I am unable to fully depress the clutch against the back of the footwell . I am only able to do so by fully stretching my leg, which is uncomfortable.

Would this set up in any way damage the clutch? Has anyone heard of the clutch-stop modification?
Would the modification help me achieve this my desired setup in a more comfortable way?

    Cheers

Just sounds like you need to sit closer to me? Are you really tall or long legged?...

I'm a bit like that. 30 inch leg and about 5' 10 tall but I've got oddly long arms so if I pull the seat forward a bit, my arms end up really bent.

Personally, I would like to make my hydraulic clutch much stiffer, firmer. Any ideas if this can be done?
