Put in new bulb anyway and see if warning disappears?
Bulb might be on its way out but not gone yet. Happened with my headlights - bulb warning on dash but all functioning
High/low resistance on a failing bulb triggering the "Check Right Brake Light"
Hi Dobs
take a look at the lights with someone in the driving seat,i think you will find one of the brake lights is illuminated higher than the other.when a brake bulb fail's the ecu uses one of the four side light bulbs, one of your stop light bulbs will have blown
I had the same problem. changed the bulbs and everything's ok now.
Just looked at the lights in the dark. With foot brake on the right stop light is bigger than the left. With the side lights on,the l/h side light is bigger than the right.Fault was "check right brake light"
Thanks for the info. From what has been said sounds like the ecu is using one of the r/h tailight bulbs. Will get a new bulb and ley you know.Thanks.Dobs.
blown bulb then , you have 2 side lights each side , the top smaller 1 is also the brake light .
so if the right stop lamp is bigger then it is using the next bulb down .
Ah the "old switch-eroo" trick
