    confused Heated seats stopped working

    Hi mates,

Since for a few days here in my city has been a little cold weather, i decided to power up my heated seats.

    Surprise: not working.

This is happening now, as last time i used them both (march this year) , they were working fine.

I checked fuses, the leds on the switches are ON, but no heat.

This is a little odd, as i understand if one of them broke, but both at the same time ?

Is there any relay that i can check? I can't believe that both pads are gone at exact same time. Hint: i didn't do any work on the electrical system or other repairs which implied electrical intervention.

    Thank you !

    Hi Tox
if you are sure both fuses in the luggage compartment fuse box are ok you need to check if there is a live supply at the leads with a multimeter,if so then the pads are faulty.

I will try that, but isn't it very odd, that BOTH seats stopped working at the same time ? I was wondering if someone can provide the wiring scheme for the heated seats, so i have to check something. If the pads are broken, i bet the lights on the switches won't light up, or is it just when the circuit is closed, regardless of impedance ?

    I'm back with some information.

I just remembered that my seats NEVER warmed up on the backrest , just on the down part of the seat. Is this normal, or i have 2 pair of pads on each seat ?

I connected OPCOM, there are no errors for circuit open. Tried enabling the back seats heater (i have the connectors under the back seat, but no butons nor pads in the back seat) and it popped up a circuit open error on the rear seats. Logically, if something went wrong with the pads in the front, i should get a circuit open error on these, right ? Or their impedance maybe isn't so close to 0 when broken, in order to trigger a fault code ?

Anyway, i studied the TIS wiring diagram, and a see one controller for heated seats , one on each seat. I recon that i cannot use a multimeter to measure impedance, because of this controller, noted A15 on the diagram.

You say, i power up the front rotary dial for heated seats, and go to the boot and measure the voltage there ? As i've seen on the wiring diagram, the feed for 12V is going directly into the seat controller, not the dashboard switches.

Links below with diagram. You can see there are 2 pads on a seat (??), that's why in the first place i asked if the seat should heat up as a whole, not just the bottom part.

Next, 12v is coming directly on the A15 controller, and the rotary switches are connected with the BCM.
