Default HHmmmm Traction control light staying on

As title says today i had to go to my brother-in-law work but on the way round the yard i had to go on the grass it was just the passenger side that went on and it was wheel spinning and when i stopped and turned the ignition off and back off i noticed the TC light was staying on so drove home stayed on all the way home so parked up switched the ignition off for at least 3hrs went to the shop it stayed off for a bit but came back on and stayed on anyone know what might be up ?

What i thought is when it wheel spun it kicked up mud and maybe hit something?

See if i put a reader on it will it give back a error?

Could be many things... As simplesi has said, the ABS sensors are all part of the ABS/TC system, so a failure of any of them, or the wiring will cause the TC and ABS to deactivate.

I had this recently when I replaced a wheel bearing. New unit had a faulty speed sensor so the ABS/TC was disabled until it was fixed.

If you know someone with Tech2 or "another diagnostic system" they should easily be able to narrow the fault down to a specific wheel or other component.
