    Default rear brake pad change

    quick question, once ive changed the rear pads on my preface vec c, if the handbrake needs adjusting how do i do it, and do i need to do anything to it before i lift the caliper up to gte to the pads, may sound daft, first time on the vec c

    Before winding the piston back undo the lid on the brake resivior. Once you changed brake pads use the footbrake to take up the slack (with engine running) pump pedal half adozen times. Handbrake is self adjusting.

    jesus, spring pad was on the outside, and the inner one was at a 45 degree angle for wear. il post up some pics shortly, can sort of see why they were rattling. had to bleed them all after one piston wouldnt budge. and i just took it for a drive, pedal hit the floor and pulsed up and down, and no brakes. stopped, put handbrake back on, pumped the pedal like mad again, and they seem to have sorted themselves out now.

    jesus christ, how did they manage that am mean the calipersquezes them together so it should be pretty flat ive never seen that before, i would mabe check that out, were the pads against the caliper piston etc flat?

    also, are u mad? u dont drive the car u just pump the brakes stopped where u r untill the pedal goes hard, then try them short distance before u go out onto the road

    Looks like there were not seated in the carrier right.

    Did it do much damage to the disc as it looks like its had metal to metal on the end.
