    Default hello there...

hi all... another veccy owner here on the look out for some info lol....

ive had mine now for over a year and a half , loving it as its the 1.9cdti 150 ps engine

but now is starting to cause some uneasy baldness from head scratching..lol

i have a couple of issues , wich im sure i will get pointed in the right direction...hopefully

    1. i have recently replaced the rear wheel bearing hubs due to a whoowhoo whooing noise at certain speeds and increases in volume when going round a roundabout for example.. and now have an intermittent abs/tc error on the dash prior to it illuminating the brakes when applied even just lightly seem to set off the abs(judders), it seems to happen 95% of the time after ive reversed off the drive...(oh and the whoowhoo noise is annoyingly still there.....)

    2. when cold the gears are hard to engage, like theres something impeding the movement and feels notchy..it happens when changing into second and third unless i let the revs drop first, it improves when warm but not altogether, i am contemplating oil change and adding the additive too... hopefully that will fix it but any advice is appreciated...

    thanks in advance..

hope i can get my veccy back to tip top soon with ur helps

The droning noise on the back is often caused by worn upper control arms causing the rear tyres to wear unevenly. I had this a while back, it makes a sound very much like a duff bearing. Feel round the tread of the rear tyres, with mine I could feel noticeably raised sections on the inside edge.

Where did your new bearings come from? There are a few cheap ones making the rounds which have faulty ABS sensors (I did a front bearing last week and had this, as did another member)
