From what ive read mike is that -deviation compensates for +deviation ,so one cylinder will be more into -deviation to compensate for another cylinder which is more into + deviation, also theres alot of mention of doing a diesel purge to give the injectors a good clean, which is a cheaper first option rather than recon/renew, you can get a can of liqui moly diesel purge on ebay for around a tenner, you could try just filling the fuel filter housing with it rather than linking a load of pipes up, just an idea mate

Clean the contacts on the wiring plugs to injector 2 (does is smoke much under acceleration?) Also could be a bad injector. Guess you could try swapping them round but I never done this on a Vec so don't know if there is any bad points about doing so!

The injectors can be within +/- 1.3 mg/stroke

The video clip below shows a 1.9 CDTI 150 running ok, although the up-loader of the video didn't know what he was looking at.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=PXSG27mV2nk#!

Watch the injector mg/stroke stability as the rpm's go up and down from the live injector data

They are stable through the rpm range and all within +/- 1.3

You should run the test as in the vid then decide, I would prefer to be there to make a decision on the live data rather on on here in this case to be honest.
PS: I would check #2 wiring replace the seal on #3 then run the test.

Looks like no2 is the worst with the others looking ok, think the vx specs are +/- 1.5 . If no.2 is too far out then the others would try to compensate for it and throwing themselves out a bit... My bet is get no2 looked out or treated but I dont think this is the root cause of your problem though, symptoms would just be a little lumpy i think..
