Default changing cd30 stereo in a preface full canbus car, couple of questions

i have a 2005 preface full canbus vectra (scroll wheels on steering wheel), and the speakers on one side of the car do not work, apart from the occasional cracking noise and interference noise from revs etc even with stereo turned off. i thought it would be something to do with that speakers wiring, but the passenger rear doesnt work either, so thinking its a problem with the headunit?
if i change it for an aftermarket stereo

    1) is the stereo coded to the car, i havent got the car pass if it needs a code, if i plug it back in, will it work ok

    2) what will happen to the trip computer and screen, i have controls for that on the stereo and the steering wheel, will the steering wheel ones still work ok if i fit an aftermarket stereo?

    3) how would i set the clock on the display screen, can that be done from the steering wheel?

    3) what leads would i need to buy to get the stereo to work with the car, and the steering controls to work the stereo

    4) i have read that i need to find a serperate perminant live and ignition live, so where do i pick these up from?

    5) if fitting single a single din stereo, is it just the fascia panel or do i need to get anything the adapts the hole behind it?

    think thats about it lol
