Electric Tailgate Shut Button

Evening Chaps,

I've a bulb gone in my tailgate. To remove the interior card I need to unplug the button which closes the powered boot, as the button housing will not go through the hole in the card.
In simple terms how do I unplug the cable from the back of the switch?
