    Default Private parking ticket

Any body know the new rules on this?
Because I remember seeing something on the news about changes happening this month.

i recieved a letter in post saying I owe £70 because I stayed in Aldi car park for 1hr 59 mins when max stay in 1hr 30

We went shopping in Aldi an home bargains then needed to feed baby in car an left.

Now I'm more than happy to throw this in the bin an tell them to do 1 but my partner is telling me to appeal etc

Mum under impression that private parking nothing can but done other than take to a claims court.

But with the changes can they now persue this or do I just ignore it?

Do not enter in to any correspondence with them at all, they will soon get bored writing letters.

Tell them you know nothing about it and tell them to take you to court... 99% of the time you'll won't hear from them again.

My mum had great fun with a "private parking" firm last year. She over-stayed in a car park by accident (signs very small and inappropriately placed)

Being a retired lady with sod all to do, she wasted a lot of their time with pointless letters... We knew all along that they wouldn't bother to take her to court as she's in Essex and by law, the company would have to take her to her local court... The firm were based in Birmingham so there was no way they'd have bothered spending a fortune to send someone all the way to Chelmsford over a £60 fine!

There are some changes to the way Car Clamping is processed in England and Wales
I've not seen anything with respect to Penalty Charges

Is the letter actually an Invoice, and not a parking charge or penalty notice.
    Prenton by any chance?
A lot of stores have ANPR cameras now to prevent all day parking, and there is probably a notice saying something like if you park here you agree to the restrictions.

Its days parking charge notice on the top of it.

and it was the prenton one yes.
their two pictures of my car arriving an leaving

I understand its to prevent all day parking but 1 an half hours is quite a limited amount of time especially when you've got 2 kids to drag round too
