Hi Daz and welcome to the site...

I also have a 1.8 LS (mine is a 2004, is just about to turn 100k miles and is still as tight as a drum!)

As for geting more oooomffff.... My advice is give up!

If you have bottomless pockets you could do a turbo conversion but last time I looked at this it was arround £3k for this. A remap would eak out a bit more power 10 bhp really at most but on the plus side it will make the car feel far more seponcice etc. That will set you back somewhere arround £400. A cat back system will make it sound better and help imrpve the plocebo speed effect.

I personlay spent my money on a dam good service. Since then I have been buying lots of SRI parts etc instead to make the car much better to drive etc... SRI seats, lowering springs, better wheels and tread etc...

Have to agree with Coldo, i have an SRi 58 plate and i like it the way it is,i would rather spend my cash on keeping the car in tip-top condition and enjoying every minute of it,if people want ot Mod their cars then thats fine-but i will leave mine as standard------Dave

i agree had my 06 vectra 1.8 sri for two weeks and i have done a service on the car removed the little cone in the air box and thats it. and all im going to do is get a k and n panel filter and might get sa new back box not for the the performance side as i think my sri is quite fast but just to give it a nice little rumble had to have the altenator replaced but the garage did that free of charge has the battery light kept coming on. goin to refurb the alloys in summer time and sort out a few stone chips and thats it. and as for the flat spot some people say that they have from 2 to 4 thousand revs my does not seem to have it infact it flies on the pick up.

I've had two of the 1.8's my first an LS and my current one an SRi. I'd suggest spending money on suspension for the LS and maybe shelling out for some more expensive tyres. I think these will be the best performance upgrades. Depending on your driving style maybe upgrade brakes. It's not worth going full VXR set up in my opinion as discs and pads are massively expensive but upgrading to a GSi set up would give good improvements.

Bit of a mistake there fella, the Saab 9-5 has little to do with the Vectra-C, it shares parts with the Vectra-B instead. It's the 9-3 Sports Saloon that shares some parts with the Vectra-C. As such, the Koni parts you've bought won't fit your car.
