Rear Springs Replacement

Afternoon all

Had a rear spring snap on me so i decided to tackle it today. Can i just say.... what a pain in the hole that was!!

Just a bit of advice for anyone tackling it themselves, DON'T follow Haynes manual instructions when it tells you to use spring clamps.... cos there's nowhere for them to fit with all the suspension in the way!

What i had to do instead was undo the bottom arm to hub bolt and drop the arm down to remove the spring. My thanks to gekornro for his How2, Saved me some time, and money for the swear jar

3.5 hours to replace both rears, all done (2.5 hours spent ****ing about with the compressors, and it was ****** freezing!!)

i followed instructions off some of the posts on here and did not bother with spring compressors , i just went straight for the bottom bolt after putting my scissor jack under and lowered it down then used my foot to push the arm down and it just pulled out easy , i did both sides in about an hour and fifteen minutes
