    Default dmf and clutch

i know many threads have been posted before on here. just wondering if the sub frame has to be removed to change dmf and clutch. been told it has, if so, is it a garage job or can it still be done on my drive?
    cheers

It has to be lowered. I know people have done the clutch on the drive but its much easier on a ramp

It can be done on your drive, by loosening the subframe bolts on the driver's side but not removing them entirely, and only removing the bolts on the passenger side, and then tilting the subframe.
