Coolant change

Hi guys, im going to do a full service on my 08 1.8vvti sri this week also going to do a coolant change. Has anyone done a how to on this for this engine? If not could someone explain how its done? Iv done it before on an 04 astra so im assuming it should be very similar? Thanks

This was the thread I posted in when I did mine a few weeks ago, there's some good advice and a few different methods.

Easiest way on that engine would be to just remove the thermostat unit and just flush flush and flush some more. Or you could just remove the bottom hose, flush out, replace hose, fill up, run engine for a few minutes and repeat the first stage until the water runs clear. I think the coolant capacity of that engine is 5.9lt, so i would add 3lt of OAT Antifreeze, top up with water run up to full operating temp, test the coolant and top up if required.
