Default CDTi 120 Inlet / Boost Problem

Need a bit of help guys.

I've discovered that one of the bolts that holds the boost inlet to the manifold is missing. This would explain the bit of oil that is accumulating around the area.

On closer inspection, the bolt IS there, just the head has been sheared off it. Has anyone any idea how to get the rest of the bolt out, without replacing the entire unit?

Here's a pic of the culprit, circled in yellow

    Thanks guys

Can you get two nuts onto it an back them up against each other an then turn it out that way?

failing that will have to remove pipe work an get stud extractor on it

Can't get two nuts on, as it's sheared off inside, so nothing to put the nuts on.

Looks like a stud extractor then

Also, what bolt woulod I need as a replacement?

That's what I woulda gona with. Laborious but looks to be the only way! Again, manifold has to come out I'd imagine. Might be a good opportunity to do the glow plugs if they haven't been already...

Get a left handed drill bit and start drilling it out, you might get lucky and reverse the remaining bolt out.

Old Alfa Romeo broken head bolt removal trick

    From USA but worth it.
