Default Vxr brakes on to a 1.9 cdti

Looking to upgrade my veccy to better and bigger brakes as the stock stuff is woewoefu

couple of questions. Will 345s fit behind my stock elite alloys?

and what do I need to the actual conversion I assume discs pads calipers and mounting brackets. Don't suppose anyone has the part mos to hand? And a rough idea of costs for new parts

800 quid seems a bit pricey for what it is
Isis imagine I can get the kit cheaper via my local dealer on trade acax does anyone know the individual part nos or any info on sitting these behind stock elite alloys? I know the just fit behind the facelift Sri wheels but would like to see if anyone has them behind any other 17s

314's are a more than capable upgrade to the CDTI... and ALOT cheaper and easier to find and look almost the same under the wheel.

When you say you that you want "New"... do you mean the whole kit or just the discs and pads? You can pick up used 314mm calipers for around £100, maybe less, and then the disc and pad sets are something like £65 trade at VX.

    Default

a used pair of calipers £140-£160
disc n pad set £70 from dealers with trade discount

caliper seal kit is about £13 a side
    seal kit contains
    dust seal
    piston seal
    slider rubbers
and iirc a new bleed nipple cover

with the above cleaned painted and fitted you'll be hard pushed to not know it was all new

VXR pads and discs for 70 quid? Not a chance. 314's maybe, but not the VXR setup. You'll be looking at nearer £400 for them from VX.
