    Default FIL's not a happy bunny !

My wing mirror just got clouted & smashed by a driver who didn't want to stop !
Two way traffic on a narrow back road behind my house, my side clear, his side has a row of parked cars.
I start driving past the 1st parked car and the other driver swings out to overtake the cars parked on his side.
I then stop quickly hoping he'll do the same, which he doesn't, and keeps coming thus trying to get through the small gap, he hits my mirror and keeps going !
I reverse, turn, catch up and overtake him so he'll stop all within 500m.
When he eventually gets out his car, he said it's my fault, i've TOLD him it's HIS fault as i had right of way, he should have waited before trying to pass the parked cars.
He then backed down and agreed, saying he'll pay for the damage !

So, how much for a heated mirror glass (from Vx) ? Paintwork on mirror cover already being sorted.

The heated element will still work with a sticky mirror from halfrauds etc just for future info.

probably looking more than 30 quid including paint.

as we charge 35 quid to paint mirrors

just out of interest. is there anyway to check that the heatingelement is actually working? annoying that you dont get any "on" light on the dash somewhere when you turn the heated mirrors on

looks like nearly £100 quids worth of damage or there abouts depending if u had to put it in a paint shop to get it painted.

When you activate de-mist for your rear window, the mirror heater also switches on. You can feel the warmth after a couple of minutes.
