    anybody replace the grill and bumper mesh with that wire stuff you can just buy in most car shops?

    The chances of getting a professional looking finish are pretty slim. You see it lots on Saxo's.

    I got a lower irmy grille mesh for 30 quid then painted it matt black. It was to protect my new condensor. Looks good but i need to repaint it every 6 months due to stone chips. Might get it powder coated next time

    I also investigated this possibility as my lower bumper gap is too small for the irmy set. The type we are looking for that matches the irmy S/S is "no.3" I believe (3 holes per inch) but it seems difficult to get in a sheet that size, and then there's fitting....
