Thumbs up Another Happy MAS Performance Remap Customer

Ive been to see Ben at MAS Performance for a remap and EGR delete this morning.

Car was putting out 140bhp standard and Ben thought maybe it had already been played with, but after looking at the figures, concluded it was standard. Not bad for CDTi 8v out of the box!

So after Ben had worked his magic, I now have 170bhp and 290lb/ft torque. The car is so nice to drive, power on tap, and so much smoother.

MAS Performance was very easy to find and get to, and Ben is a really nice lad, so if your thinking of a remap, I cant recommend him any more highly.

Not bad at all. Are you confident its a 120bhp and not a 150. A number have been badged up wrongly. (also on the V5 wrong)

My wife had a company signum which was a 120 on the V5 but was in fact a 150.

The 170bhp map sounds like an 8v, I've been quoted similar figures for mine. Maybe already mapped (poorly) or the airbox/K&N filter tinkering?

Its deffinately only an 8v. Most diesels tend to put out a bit more than their stated bhp. I had a fabia vrs which was putting out 142bhp as standard. Only supposed to be 130bhp.

Ben reckoned it hadnt been touched before, and the only others mods it has is the airbox mod, but with standard filter, and the egr is blanked.

MAS Performance quote 50-60bhp increase for a 120, so 170-80bhp end result. Also 80-90 lb/ft torque. But yeah some companies are quoting around the 150bhp mark. Maybe just playing it safe. Anything else is a bonus.
