Default fitting aftermarket rear parking sensors to full canbus, any issues?

fitted a set to our old preface with no issues what so ever, no bulb out warnings etc, i connected it up to the power wire for the reverse bulb in the light cluster, will there by any issues doing this to a full canbus car?

it worked well for me as i left the buzzer in the boot aswell, in that little compartment to the left, i didnt want an 'on your face' alarm going off, just something subtle to help, so was a very easy mod to do

The backing lights have bothing to do with the CANbus anyway, apart from the OBD cheking the bulbs.

I don't think the backing bulbs are PWM dimmed BTW, so there's probably just plain +12V (or so) power there.

Anyway, it's perfectly OK to power up the parking sensors module.

If you're just tapping into the power supply to the reverse light, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Only thing you might notice is that the computer won't warn you if the reverse light bulb is dead. (it measures resistance across the circuit, so the reverse sensor control unit will fool it into thinking the bulb is good)

Maybe daft question, but do you have to remove the bumper to fit these aftermarket sensors?

no there is a guide on here with the exact measurments, i used that before and they worked perfect. there are marks on the rear of the back bumper, but for the hasstle of taking it off, it just wasnt worth it, when i did drill the holes out from the front using the measurments on here, when i looked at the back of the cutouts, the marks were in exactly the right place
