    Hi ever one iv just sold my vectra c 2.2 sri and now iv got a vectra c 1.9 cdti sri and i want to no things i can do to it this time to get more power from it with out remap. And iv got that 3rd injector problem needs new wires

    Clean the egr and boost sensor for starter then get a tuning box I have one on mine and it will fly its got around 185 bhp now and goes through the gears a lot better aswell as having really low revs can sit in 4th at 30 and its like idle lol

    Also air box mod and remove the front intake this will make ya car growl lol

    Iv done boost control and egr valve im going to change air pipes as i can hear a whistle from sum were and wot do u mean intake were is it plz

    The whistle is the turbo pmsl lol in front of the airfilter ul see a tube going to the front of the car so a pipe going from filter to next to headlight just rip it out gives it a roar and better throttle

    It still does as its open and air still comes thru and goes into the box as its close to the front of the car makes the air circle round better aswell I found performance much better with it I put it back on and it was more sluggish

    The car in question has recently had a new inlet manifold before he got it and yesterday we cleaned egr valve and boost sensor while we were there he did the airbox mod as well, coolj was complaining off eml coming on at 3500 rpms so I located a split in one of the boost vacuum pipes and replaced which has solved that .
    The car however has very little power below 2200 rpm then takes off , we have noted the 3rd injector plug is cable tied on so ideally needs replacing with the blue plug

    It's not the turbo mate , you can hear the turbo spooling up but the whistle is a seperate noise like air escaping , under load and driving the turbo is not kicking in until 2200 rpm so I'm wondering if he possibly has a leaking boost hose

    I've done this on my 08 SRI, made no difference to sound or throttle response at all. Therefore not done it on my XP2.

    I would:

    1. Sort the injector problem out
    2. give it a full service - new filters etc
    3. clean the egr and boost sensor (see how to)
    4. run through a bottle of Forte treatment - full bottle to 1/4 tank and give it a hard drive

    should be sweet thereafter
