confused Airbag / Seatbelt Tensioner Light On In Dash

    Hi All,

I have the airbag light coming on in my dash, and just wondering how to clear it, or what it means. I dont really like the thought of having no airbags in a crash :|

I had the CIM module replaced at the start of the year, and the light has been in the dash ever since. The CIM unit was a second hand tech2 cleared unit from Megavaux.

The guy that I took the car to to get the new unit programmed in said that he tried clearing the error code for the airbag light but couldnt, it was error B0001?

Does anyone know what this is and is it an expensive fix?

    Cheers,

    mcally

Sorry I do not know answers to your questions, however, I am sure it would be an MOT failure now.

I could be wrong but I think it relates to steering wheel airbag that code

so if you've had CIM replaced An its been on since then. First thing would be to check connections

It will require diagnostics to reset.

it is not an MOT fail as the new items have still not gone live yet

It passed the last MOT in December... So coming to think of it, I had the CIM changed just before then.

I read somewhere that the CIM might still have the old vehicle's VIN number stored in it, is that correct?

When does the new MOT items go live?

b' codes are from the airbag mate.

and no they are 2 totally different ecu's

    p' codes are powertrain
    c' codes are chassis ecu's (i think)
    b' codes are airbag
    u' codes are network

Ok I can see lots of them on sale on eBay for cheap. I am taking it that the airbag ecu would need to be tech2d into the car as well. Does that mean I need to get one with a specific ident code /part number for my car?

Also, I would need to double check the fault code as im not entirely sure. Could someone direct me to one of those cheap fault readers on flea bay that would work with the vectra?
