Inlet manifold shut off

Right, I have finally got the cylinder head off the sig for refurb.
Before starting I noticed a piece of long metal sticking out from the right hand side in between the inlet manifold. Found out what it is now.
It's the piece of metal that runs between the switch for the shut off valves has broken clips so half fell off. The other end was still connected with 1.
My mate said to me that you may not be able to buy this piece on it's own and it could be around 900 for the complete manifold.
Is this true??
Has anyone else had this problem?
With the engine out for rebuild I am not paying that price for this piece as well, I could buy another car for that. Where would I get this from if it is the complete part from VX??

Anyone know if this is sold seperatly or as whole inlet manifold.

No 2 is what I want.
So far found new for over £200.
Anyone else suffered this break?

mine did not break but stuck shut, there is a upgrade kit you can buy.

Tis definatly the one. VWP sell that for 200. Way more than I thought seeing as the manifold is nearly 500.
Looks like second hand if I can find one
