Default Ebay Signum sight unseen - would you?

On the face of it this looks just what I want, fsh off main dealer and cambelt done. Needs a service now but I'd have done that anyway. I'd ring the dealer to verify the history. The seller has good feedback and is answering all my questions. It's just 140 miles away in Kent.

At the price I am looking at I don't expect perfection, but the dealer FSH is something I am very much looking for.

    Any thoughts chaps?

Or anyone in Aylesford could check it out for me? For a crate of beer perhaps?

Looks good value. The only thing i can see is the mileage between april 2010 onwards. Only 1500 miles till june 2011. And now only another 600 miles from June 2011 to October 2012 !!

Could the mileage have been digitally wound back. 2100 miles seems too few miles in 2 and half years.

The car looks in great condition thou.

Well aye, that did make me wonder. It looks like it may have changed ownership in 2008, wouldn't surprise me if it had been a company car for the first 5 years, and the mileage is 12-15 a year. The mileage after that does go up and down, but my missus only does 3k a year so not necessarily an issue. If he has the last 2 mots then that can be checked. It's annoying it's so far away as otherwise it's exactly what I want.

I know partly it's cos I'm really wanting to change cars soon.

Post in the relevant Regional Group, see if someone would go give it the once over for you. The seller has 100% feedback which is a good sign too.

Just because it may have the last 2 MOT certificates, still don't mean the mileage hasn't been wound back. If you view and you know some one with a op com reader, you can read the ECU mileage but it will be in km not miles. Just convert it afterward. But still think 2100 miles cant be true in 2.5 years. No matter how little you use the car.!!

works out at 2.3 miles a day.

    Just be cautious.

I didnt think you can still do that as it is logged on the ECU aswell as the dash.

No the ecu will always show the true mileage in km, but the odemeter can be set to anything.
