    Default Thirsty 2.0 Dti

    Need some help guys , ive noticed that i only seem to be getting around 32mpg latley and the gauge dont move as slowly as usal , are there any obvious things i can look at

    I would start with the basic stuff, when was it last serviced ? a clogged up air or fuel filter could be the problem and is pretty easy to check before looking at more complicated areas

    everything from a clogged air filter to binding brakes Steve... any thing that makes the engine work harder... has it started to smoke more or the like??..

    no mark checked all filters , no smoke , maybe its just my driving attitude, how acurate are the mpg computers???

    far from accurate Steve, best do a tank to tank figure off your fuel receipts.. thats the only true way to find out.. if it's not smoking (running rich), then i'd be concerned that i'd got a sticky caliper binding on if the MPG has dropped...

    i'll keep it monitored , as i said before my vec b 2.0 DTI was still going strong at 200k and ive got a lot of faith in this engine....... i hope

    yep, the DTi is a cracking lump with loads of miles in it.... i'd just keep an eye on it for now steve and keep an eye on hub temperatures..
