Default Legacy Hi/Low Impedance Adapter - WHAT IS THIS FOR??

    Guys,

Found this in the wife's car, its connected to the big plug on the back of the stereo and is tucked away behind the dash. Discovered it on Saturday whilst having a rummage.

WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

Help pleas - can I remove it?

    Yes you can.

As said all it does is allow the speaker outputs to be used as RCA outputs for amps etc.
