    Default Clunking brakes

new front and rear pads fitted about 2 months ago, ofside rear cluncking when braking in reverse sometimes going forwards, the pads were just generic pads, first ive noticed it, took wheel off this morning and put some copper grease on caliper bolts, still the same any ideads, worth taking pads off and put more grease behind them,.

you get this with non genuine pads, there is slight play between the pads and calliper mountings letting the pad move under braking,it's no detrement to the braking effiecency just annoying.

Mine did this for the first few months but are fine now that all dirtied up and the muck\dust appears to filled the gaps and dampened the knocking to the extent I cannot hear them knock.
