2.0 dti

Hi all,

Picked up my 2005 2.0 DTI today, on way home the Thermostat appears to have packed in, runs cold when moving, but when stationary temperature climbs.

Are they an easy thing to replace myself or would I be better off getting my mechanic to do it, I'm not too experienced at all mechanically, but will try basic things.

Took me 30 mins dead easy. With the 2.0 you can change the thermostat as an insert so it's cheap as chips aswell. I couldn't I my 2.2 and needed full housing. Remember a new gasket aswell and change coolant while your draining it as two birds with one stone as they say

Thanks, any idea how much for the Stat and that gasket? Should my local Dealers have the gasket on the shelf?
