ashtray removal

Wanting the live feed from the cig lighter for a voltmeter. How do i get to the wiring, remove the cover etc

ashtray just lifts out by the lid,then you lift/click out the inside,take out the plastic surround around the gear-stick gaiter aswell,lift up the gaiter to the bottom of the gear knob that will leave with plenty of room to get your hand in to unplug the power going to the cig lighter,just pull down towards the floor

when your in there you might find a spare connector for the light to the ashtray(little square window thingy on the left of inner ashtray),i fitted a 5mm LED to mine,just lights it up a wee bit

how about the cubby hole above it, easy to get out, thats where i want the meter

When ya ashtray is out pull the cuppy from the button it is easier to remove the heater panel 1st grab hold of the left and right knobs and generally pull and it will clip out
