egr gasket

cleaning my egr and boost sensor and somehow have managed to drop one of the gaskets down the engine and i cant find it, even took the tray off to see if it had fell through to no avail

since the spares dept are closed till monday, can i use instant gasket on it instead or does it need to be a metal gasket , or would a motor factor have these or are they dealer only

its the 1st one at the wee ribbed pipe going to the egr that i dropped

or does any scottish member near airdrie have a spare one going

What was original gasket made from. Is it rubber, cork effect or metal. Does the EGR valve get warm.

i haven't connected it all back up tightly yet just had the wee ribbed pipe to do and the dreaded " ting ting " of a metal gasket dropping down the engine

didn't want to try instant gasket etc before i asked on here

found it down the back of the starter motor, fitted it all together , done the vacuum pipe and took it for a wee spin ......car definately feels a lot faster accelerating and no hesitation, definately something every one should do every year , bottom pipe was a pain in the butt though
