    Default dpf advice

ok wanting to start getting rid of this so heres my plans if anyone has any advice

1.get exhaust place to remove dpf and put in pipe (i know i will have a warning light) october 2012

    2. get it remapped out with more power febuary 2013

question is will this be ok to drive with the warning light and will it fail its mot in november with a warning light (if yes) can this be done after mot thanks advice appreciated

No need for pipe. Just take off and drill thru or bash the inside. Just don't break any sensors. Car should be ok. I'd reccomend doing all together as with the light on might stop you seeing other warnings on the dash

Im pretty sure that if the eml is on and a fault code is stored relating to the emmissions side of things it will be a fail, personely i would do as geordieric said and just remove insides and put a straight through pipe on the inside that way it looks standard for any future mot's just incase, i have also read that you could crimp over the pressure pipe that goes to the front of the dpf(after removal) to fool the ecu but dont know if it does work 100% of the time
