Default Stealth Vauxhall V's Speed camera van!!!!

Now before you read this my friend is not a speed freak, he/she just likes their clean license!

Today he/she finally got to test their laser "door opener"
(and yes they sh!t a brick)..

They were driving in a 50 mph zone about 500 yards from a 70 mph zone, the speed van was tucked in a layby on the bend. They didnt notice the van until the warning buzzer went nuts and the green led turned red!!!!!!
They looked at their speedo as they hit the breaks (for all they know they may have been within the limit, but their instant reaction was to jam on the anchors, so did everyone else) they watched the needle drop from just above 60mph down to the limit of 50 mph!

They told me they will let me know if they get a letter in the post?
    I hope they dont!!

    Watch this space......

Hmmm very tempting to get one of those fangled garage doors with associated remote opener that unfortunately happens to work at the same frequency as the LTI-20-20 speedscope speed guns causing them to error while trying to obtain your speed

They tell me they picked it up from ebay for £90. rrp is closer to £250!

There is one on there at the mo: snooper SLD920 might be worth a look.

(A newer version is avaliable I think its the SLD950X)

Iím not sure how legal it is to transmit a disruption signal from your car (I think thatís why parking sensors are switched off when you are moving)

The guys on here in the know will be able to confirm but I thought the person with the gun can tell if you are transmitting (something like half pressing the button on the gun) and I think they may be able to confiscate your equipment.

an item that can transmit a signal to jam a laser signal is illeagal, they dont have any way to tell that you have one in the car but will soon guess as they wont be able to get a speed signal off you,if you get cought with a "automatic garage door opener" you may have to prove that you have a auto garage door,if you cant prove that you are in trouble

Solorider are you sure the guns can't pick up transmissions, I'm sure I was told they could (i.e. not detect by default - because they can't get a reading).

i sell radar detectors and jammers, the rep told us that they cant detect that you have a jammer on board but will soon find out if they cant get a reading, that is why when you get a reading slow down, switch the unit off and hope they get a reading
