    Default DMF bolts

    2006 Vectra-C 1.9CDTi

Can anyone tell me if the 6 bolts hold the DMF in place are left hand or right hand thread please? I'm stumped, I can't move them for love nor money even with a brand new electric impact wrench at 450nm.

Try and give them a good soaking with a proper release agent (not WD40 as that is useless). Not sure which way the theard goes tho, will see if it says in the Haynes manual

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

Thanks for the quick reply. Doesn't say that they are LH in the haynes manual so I'm assuming they're not. Can you give me a name of a release agent that you have in mind please? I've only ever used wd40.

It does not mention that the bolts are anything different to the norm in the Haynes manual

Pop down to your local motor factors as there are loads of brands, I think the one I use is STP
