    Default Signum aftermarket stereo install

    Hi guys,

I have read on other threads about installing an aftermarket stereo but not sure about the parts I need, also that I may be required to wire the live into the cigarette lighter which should be fine.

I have a 04 Signum V6 and I'm buying the AUTOLEADS PC99-X06 + PATCH LEAD to get the steering wheel controls working for my Alpine head unit and also the AUTOLEADS PC2-85-4 Car Audio Harness Adaptor Lead. Are these the correct lead's, I wasn't sure as one shows its for a 3 to 4 digit stereo and the other item details for a 2 digit stereo and I'm not sure what this applies to and do I require both?

What steering controls do you have?
3 buttons on each steering wheel spoke? - This is a half CAN vehicle, and is referred to in your post as a 3 to 4 digit head-unit..
    That is CCR2006, CDR2005, NCDC2013, etc..
You will need a converter loom with the ISO connector plug on it.

Your first e-bay link. It is their typo saying 2005 onward... it should be 2002 to late 2004 vehicles.

If you have a scroller and two butons on each wheel spoke, then you have a full CAN vehicle, with two digit radios - CD30, CDC40, CD70 and so on.
This set-up requires a converter loom with the Quadlock connector on it.

Your second e-bay link for 2005 to late 2008 vehicles (end of production)

I hope that makes more sense.

The fact that your car is a 2004 manufactured vehicle means that it could be either half CAN or full CAN.
The production change-over date is approx 1st October 2004.

I have the CCR2006 with the 3 button steering wheel controls.

I'm having trouble finding one for 2002-2004 models

    Use your first link.

Like I said - it is their mistake regarding the years mentioned.
