find the plug which goes to the motor, put 12v to the blue/red wire to lower the mech, don't forget to earth the brown wire to your battery too.

    Taken from my howto...

VERY CAREFULLY pierce the insulation on the red, the blue/red and the green/grey wires using a very sharp knife (be careful not to damage the actual wires inside too much).

Then using a short piece of spare wire, carefully short the red wire to the blue/red one and the motor will lower. This can seem quite sudden, remain composed, I do not take responsibility for any part of this and if the motor jumps up and hits you in the knackers it's your own fault. (short blue/red to red to lower window or grey/green to red to raise window).

Forget all of the above . 3 silver torx screws attach the motor to the mechanism remove them and remove the motor and the window will be free to move up and down

Lol, thanks chaps! To be fair there was no way I could have been hit in the knackers, everything was still on the car inside the door, I did check the how to but in a panic I must have skipped over the description on the pics Ian put up.

Got them off no problem after that, got the looms, switches, bolts and plastic rivets with them too.

While I was there they also had another Vectra in with full SRi leather, needed a good bit of TLC mins, couple of scuffs out of the leather and they've been exposed to the elements for a while, I'm almost tempted to offer the guy £50 for them and try and sort them out!

Also picked up a few little "extras" too

    Thanks for the help guys!

Just need to invest in a rivet gun and I can get these in the car for another job ticked off the list!
