Project run about

Most of you will know this car as Gazza's car and some will also know I have done ALOT of work to this car over the past year or so. So when Gary said he was thinking of selling up I had to buy it from him

She's done nearly 160k and the flywheel is u/s but apart from that everything else is spot on.

As the car will be on second car/run about duties i've decided to de-mod her a bit and sort a few of the niggles out.

Here's what I started with today

Quick wash, replacement headlights, replacement grille and the front bumper sorted out



Side skirts and wind deflectors removed (replacement skirts to go on tomorrow)



Opel blitz removed ready for a griffin to go on

Nice one john what you doing with the wind deflectors and every thing else you take off it

It's a bit of a mix mate, the wind deflectors have gone onto the IS3, some bits are going onto Gary's new motor and the rest will be binned/sold

I do love the opel grilles, but looking at the revised front, the VX chrome grille suits very well with chrome backed headlights.

You're right, I was going to fit Sri front lights but looking at the chrome ones I think they look pretty cool

Car is coming along great m8. I ahve to say I do miss the old girl but as Khalisd says it's gone to a good owner. She looks well smart with the chrome lights and original grille.

Seems a shame to de-mod, Not a fan of the opel badging but apart form thats its a really nice car!

BTW are the VXR side sill end caps different to the SRi ones?
