Default Throttle position - 2.8t auto

I've got an Elite 2.8T automatic (the 230bhp model). I love the mid-range grunt but kick-down is annoying. If you are pootling at 50-60 in 6th, then floor it, it drops to 2nd or 3rd gear. It feels like ages between banging the throttle and getting a shove in the back. Often when it has stopped downshifting the engine is past peak torque anyway.

Is there any way to have the gearbox remapped so it never drops down more than 1 or 2 gears?

Alternatively, as the 2.8T is a drive-by-wire throttle, is it possible to have a remap so 100% throttle applies at the point the pedal is resting on the kick-down switch? Thus allowing full-throttle without dropping 3 or 4 gears?

I too have the elite 2.8T with a remap and I noticed the same thing. I decided to try and push down only a fraction just over midway and it responded a lot better.
I do find it easier to push the gear lever over and change down with that.

Software updates are also available for the AF40 gearboxes, but I don't know what exactly do they cure. Worth a shot tough.
