Default Metal retaining clip from Vectra jack?

Bit worried. Had the wheel off yesterday to try to find the cause of a noise and reassembled. Noticed on the ground by the jack (factory supplied) that there was a very clean metal retianing clip.

First thought is that it fell from the jack but can't find where as it looked brand new and clean so unlikely to have been from the wheel area.

    Any ideas?

    Can post a picture later.

Will do when I get home tonight. It looks shiny and new so hoping its from the jack, but no idea what it does or where its from.

Is it about an inch long, wider at one end? If so from memory its from the tool kit, I believe its for pulling off wheel trims (where fitted) I hoped it was to take alloy wheel nut covers off.
