Defo pick up an early preface for that sort of money, just have a look on autotrader. Plenty of them to choose from on there

at that sort of money it needs to come from a local dealer, who fully understands the sale of goods act.
thank you for that, i like the first ebay car looks decent, i advised a vec b so lower miles etc but he wont hear of it lol kids eh
1200 would get a good condition vec b sri or gsi these days.
hes only 19 tho lol , i do still like the vec b myself tho
vec b facelifts were nice i had one and so did my mate we loved them, apart from the niggles lol.
we have already established that vectra cs can be had for under a grand, which for him at his age should not be sniffed at, as he can always tinker with a bare bones model, using ebay for cheap upgrades etc.
if he gets one for £800 he needs to keep his change in the bank and only use that money to keep his vec c on the road if this is what he has his heart set on.
funds seem limited and im sure you dont want to have to be lending money to keep the thing on the road, id advise the 1.8 petrol is what he should be looking at, and that has nothing to do with the derv v petrol, im only going off what i read on this site as the 1.8 seems to have the least amount of engine add ons that can go wrong.
