Default Tomtom One - Mounting Options????

Has anyone used anything other than the standard rubbish windscreen sucker to mount a Tomtm One in a Vectra??

I've looked everyone for weeks and I can't find a proper alternative!

Even bought the 'alternative mounting kit' for the Tomtom which is complete junk!!!

    ???

I just wedge mine in on the standard mount above the middle speaker, only falls off sometimes, lol. It's a shame as I'd like it all the way on the left side but it won't stay to the windscreen over there.

I have used dash mount for my sat nav and have 2 in the centre, one for my monitor and one for the remote as I have a VDO MS5500. There are several options of DashMount.

OK, yeah thats the one I would need as well according to the website but I dont see how that bracket attaches to my Tomtom? The Tomtom fitting is quite specific. How have you done it mate?

I use the standard window mount and it has never fallen off... however, in my Vectra, it's mounted on the RHS of the instruments, next to the A-pillar. The bottom of the unit sits on the dash, so maybe it's not so reliant on the sucker to hold it all in place. Either way, after 6 weeks of use, it's still on & very robust.

I removed the lower dash cover, and hid the power supply wire in there - now it just pops out at the bottom of the A-pillar - all neat & tucked away.

Yeah tried that and various other positions but mine stays on for about and hour then off it pops! Also wasn't to keen on it being in my field of vision or some chave seeing the mount and breaking in assuming the unit was in the glove box. (Which it usually is)
