    Default Retrofitting HID's

I hope this post doesn't break any forum rules, if it does then apologies and moderators please remove this.

I was trying to find out if something marked "E4" (Holland approved) would be legal if fitted to a UK car, and whilst googling came across this item / conclusion as to the legality of retrofitting HID's which I thought made interesting reading.

Does anyone know if the conclusions drawn are completely accurate and relevant to compliance both for insurance policy notifications and also for legal road use in the UK ?

Here is the link, I guess I could copy paste the content but it seems so much easier to show where the info is listed.

Well ok I know there are a lot of threads on fitting, bulbs etc, I just hadn't realised the insurance implications of such a comparatively simple and widespread mod.

Ah well, now I know at least LOL
