Default fitted carbon wrap on door trims not happy

the vertical pillars look ok but the bit round the mirror looks sh** ,looks like i'm stuck with it for nowas when i ceaned the trim before application i used solvent and it knackered the finish, went white and rough.i used a pre-cut set of ebay,in hindsight i should have bought a sheet of 3m and removed all the bits but it looks easy on utube, doh.just need to find out howto strip the mirror to get at the black bit and wrap it properly,i think the pillars front and rear come off easily.any help much appreciated.
also wanting to do the boot strip with silver/grey carbon but looks like you need to buy a huge sheet to get the width but only need a couple of inches obviously to do the strip so quite an expensive mod unless someone has a strip of it i could have

Dont think you can strip mirrors down. i just wrapped mine on the car. I put the film on the base and heated to fit and then trimed a round the colour coded mirror bit then used a second bit to do the under the mirror base etc. took ages to do but got there in the end!

Pop glass an then the trim pops off or of your careful with a knife can just pop rear off

2m sheet will more than cover the boot an mirrors
