    Default Oil change

    My car is over due a oil change cdti 150 what oil do I use how much is genuine oil and how much should I use also will I need to replace the sump plug and washer thanks

    i get mine from autovaux. I think the oil is £19 for 5ltr you'll need 4.3ltr and oil filter was about £6 I think. I did replace my sump plug washer last time but can't remember how much it was. did an oil change on my 1.9 150 last week.

    As above, a 5 litre bottle will do your oil change. Get 5w-30 GM full synthetic.

    I didn't change my plug/washer and no problems. You may want to get a plug/washer anyway because sometimes they can get mullered removing them. Depends who tightened them up before.

    If doing the job on your drive rather than a ramp, you will find it easier to remove the undertray completly. That service flap is a PITA as you can't get the car high enough on a jack/stands to get it down enough for access. You need a 34mm socket/filter removal tool for the filter housing.

    Thanks lads will be doing it on the drive on ramps so should get good height but will remove the whole tray

    it's a 32mm socket you need for the filter, I did it on my drive no problem on axle stands and yeah forgot to say it was 5w 30
