Default Hotel help in scotland needed

Right all you scots boys.. i need a bit of decent local knowledge..

Cara and I are planning to come up to the Runrig Gig at Loch Lomond ( well Drumnadrochit ) and we're looking for somewhere to say within a 1/2hrs travelling... gonna fly up and hire a car...see the gig and spend some time in the area..

The Gig is on the 18th of august, so we've got a little planning time avaliable, but i'm sure it'll soon get booked up..

    So... any thoughts???..

around Drumnadrochit your pretty limited Mark cause its a small village and the gig is on a farm

Inverness is defo the best place for you both to stay as you can shoot up the A9 from Glasgow.

I have also stayed in the Ramada in Inverness and it was quite nice too...

We need to look into accomodation ourselfs cause i was going to do it when i booked the tickets but forgot LOL

try the Chieftain Hotel, in Inverness, on Diriebught Road, family run and very reasonable rates, excellent bar and restaurant, failing that the travel inn is 100 yds along the road, also if my memory serves me right, there is a hotel on the banks of loch ness, at loch-end, i think it was called The Clansman, great views.
Failing that you could try for accom in Fort Augustus, Invermorrison or Drum(nadrochit) itself.
When exactly is the gig? Because that could determine how booked up they are already.
    Hope this helps

    Lol!!

You're not 'hardcore' enough for this camping laugh!

I fondly remember being there when we dragged a resin shed all the way up to Bonnie Scotland with a 1.7 TD Cavalier!!
