    Default VVTI vectra really slow.

    hi basically my car is a 57 reg vvti vectra, its been fine for the past year until the last few weeks where its been having a weird problem.. basically after 15 mins of driving the car goes really really slow as in i can have my foot to the floor in 2nd and it will have no power what so ever same in every gear and its perfectly fine from been started up just after 15 minutes it dies, any idea what could cause this?

    VVTI mechanism. Sounds like the problem I had with mine.

    On mine, the car with spanner in it stayed on with the ignition instead of going out. The fault code I got is in the thread above.

    Had similar problems with my Cam Phase Solenoids, although I was getting the Spanner light and then able to read the stored codes.

    I did a How2 on removing the filters as per the field remedy, but ended up replacing them. Easy enough job!

    hey thanks guys, i havnt got any warning/fault codes.. seems alot of people are having bother with the cam phaser solenoid valve, how much are they?

    actually it seems alot of people have just removed/cleaned the ring filters, any idea if there easy enough to remove and where the location of them is? thanks.
