    Default Getting rid of masking lines on paintwork

    Hi is there any way I can get rid or masking lines in the paintwork without taking her into the body shop?

    Masking lines bit of polish and a pad should take them off or a das machine polisher either that or some tar remover

    What are the marks, left from the tape, or spray build up?

    Potentially it could be a simple job (polish etc) or may need some wet & dry (then machine polishing), depends on how bad it is.

    next time you spray don't put the masking tape on flat to the paint work, roll half of it back so as not to get lines in the paint and a lot easier to compound out hope this helps next time lol

    get some 2000 grade wet and dry rub very lightly over the line with plenty of water then when happy with it bring the shine back with G3 compound and loads of water pity you dont live closer i would have done it for you,done loads
