    Default Which MK5 astra?

Not a Vec but you lot seem knowledgable about your VX's so thought i would ask the question.
Looking to upgrade my daily runabout and i love the look of the Mk5 astra, i have a budget of 8-10k, anyone got or had one??, i see the sxi and sri can now be got for this money, needs to be sporty and nippy, would like to keep vaux, advice appreciated.
Currently have a Vec B GSi but its deffo time to change it, have thought about older BMW or something but will pay for much older car with loads more miles for that money????

Sorry mate yes i have just bought that, that is the main family motor. but i am looking to change the car i use daily for work also.
We are expecting our first child in Feb, (so Vec suits perfectly) but want to get cars all sorted before the ankle bite'r arrives as dont want hassle of looking for cars then.

Lol just traded the 2.2 for a newer Vec, and as stated above want to change GSi for something newer, and yes still have the MK1 astra, that will never be going anywhere.

Dont wanna offend anybody but GSi is poor imo, all show, no go, sluggish, and im bored of it, (ive had 2 sri's and 2 Gsi's now and tbh there is no diff in performance between the 2) and dont really need the space for child as i will have the other one.

In August this year, my Father-in-law bought a pre-reg Astra... I think it's a "Life A/C", might be a Club It's a 1.6 Twinport 5 door in Silver. Leather Steering Wheel, Alloys (4-bolt), Bord Computer... great car, really nice to drive too... all for about £9500!

The MK5 Astra does look very nice, i was thinking to sell my Vectra and buy the new Astra. I would say buy the Astra 2.0l Turbo SRI, with nice body kit and 18's from the factory
Or if you want performance and economy than get the 1.9 CDTi SRI 150
