    Default split cv boots

does anyone know if the split type (wrap around) cv boot that you glue back together will pass a test?

reason is, its like a monsoon outside and i need to replace mine and the less time spent under the car outside, the better.

    cheers

I done mine two years ago, Its just faild its MOT for a split CV boot. (The one I replaced).
If you take care to do it without getting greas on the joint area then Its a cheap fix which will get you through the mot. With a good join I would expect them to last 12 to 18 months.

ideally, i could do with knowing if the driveshaft will pull away from the cv so i can fit a proper boot, or does the whole drive shaft have to be removed?
