    Default 4 ashes inn, Wolverhampton.

I noticed that there has been a few small meets at the 4 ashes inn near Wolverhampton.
my last club the75andZT community had a few, what they called nano meets at that site. Those meets were great, members would meet up and work on others cars doing things from handbrake adjustments to major work and everybody chipped in with effort, no cost! We even had generators bought by members to power up any tools requiring, power to T4's ( the mg rover equivalent to tech 2) which were free to use by fellow enthusiasts. Do a google search for Wolverhampton nano meets if you want to see what the meets were like.
these nano meets were usually held at weekends meaning more members could make it.
im not trying to step on anyone's toes by suggesting this, I'm just trying to pass on how great they were.

Yes buddy we have had a couple of meet there on a thursday night and a ive attended a few charity events there.
Do they still hold these Nano meets there?
Yes weekend meets and meets involving fixing, detailing etc are great ideas and we have had a few that went well in the west mids at my own home. But to make them worth while and to invest money into generators, tech 2 etc to hold at more central places to the region is going to be impossible. We dont have enough active members in the west midlands to be able to finance it or make it worth while as a regular meet. Thats why I have had it at mine and only 2 times a year, as my drive is large (10 cars at least) and we use my power, water and I put on the BBQ. But I will soon be moving into a new house so I will be loosing the drive. But then I have a good sized carpark over the road from the house. Just means if you require power or water it will have to be taken in turns on my drive........

It is a great idea but could work out expensive and personally I cant see members digging deep to help finance it. If however the Nano meets are still going and there is a chance to join them as in a joint club meet this is something I would look into........
