Tech 2 programming Towbar

Searched loads, couldnt find the key info I need

Just fitted my witter plug and play, but need to do the fog light delete etc

going to be given a tech2 to use at work but as the car cleaner I need a hint or two.

so any vauxhall techs give me a noddy guide

Both REar foglight and the reversing light to disable the bulbcheck for them is in the REC. should not take him more than 2 minuts..

But then he need to add the towbar module to most every other module..

There was a tech 2 guide posted up on here somewhere... I shall see if I can find it somewhere.

Here is the general gist..

Modules to program.
REC (Security code needed)
DIS
IPC (Security code needed)

Modify the variant Configuration settings in the following modules

REC
Set Trailer Reversing lamp control to Present
Set Trailer Fog lamp control to Present

DIS
Set Check Control To Present
Set Towbar To Present

IPC
If the module Identifier is "0x0***", then Set Towbar To Present

If the module Identifier is "0x1***", then No variant coding changes needed

Someone's bound to ask
REC = Rear electrical centre - boot fuse box
DIS = Display
IPC = Instrument Panel

Ooh - I know it looks official, but I wasn't aware of changing code indexes in the Instrument panel and the Display.

Never seen Towbar electrics as an option for the code index tables,
but have definately seen it on the last page of variance config tables in Vauxcom for the Display.

Not had to program the IPC yet, so cannot comment... but would still have thought it was a variance config thing.

forgot to add, didnt get round to doing this yesterday, but just slaved a trailer board on and the basic side, brakes and indicators all worked correctly
